DELIVERED
Editorial Design, Information Design & Data Visualisation, Visual Identity
WFSGI approached Playing Field to transform a substantial body of complex research and sensitive data into a visual publication capable of influencing future policy and building momentum across the global sports industry.
Leading the project, I identified an early opportunity to go beyond the publication itself – using it as a catalyst to evolve WFSGI's wider visual identity into a stronger, more confident system that reflected their role as a connector and advocate within global sport.
Drawing inspiration from the rhythm of athletic performance, data grids and movement systems, a modular editorial approach was developed that balanced precision with energy. Complex information was translated into accessible infographics, pull-out statistics and storytelling visuals, making key findings legible to both specialist and general audiences.
The report's impact established the programme as an ongoing initiative, continuing through Milano Cortina 2026 and LA 2028, and expanding its reach across the wider sporting landscape.
